Yesterday saw the departure of Scott C in the morning and then Jan B and Dave M at about 5:30pm. This officially ends Phase One for the expedition and the focus is now off the transition and definitely on Phase 2.
Photo is: John D and two of the very friendly Hotel Tibet Staff farewell Jan and Dave below.

For the remaining four, the focus now must be on the travel to Tibet and the goals that await us there. I had a meeting with Nabin T yesterday (principal of Expedition Himalaya) and met 6 of the other 7 climbers for the expedition. II felt quite inexperienced within this group.
2 Swiss and a Polish guy attempting without Oxygen, An Indian lady (who we had met in 2015) who had already summited in 2013 from the South Col Route, and 2 British climbers who had done the same. Another Indian climber would join us in Tibet. I met him in 2015 as well.
All-in-all, a VERY strong team of climbers (and then there's me). Judy, John and Col are in a brief with me and Nabin this morning to iron out the details for our travel and co-ordination with the other climbers and their support staff.
